Private psychiatry · Run by Noah Watson
What twelve weeks did for one psychiatry practice.
A private practice in Illinois, operating under HIPAA. 5 platforms, every post checked against their compliance rules before it went out, and the practice approving each one from a phone.
- 317
- posts published in 12 weeks
- +26%
- LinkedIn followers, 595 to 752
- 5
- platforms, one approval queue
Measured from 2026-07-20 to 2026-10-15, the window the retainer has run. The follower figures are the practice’s own published count, visible to anyone who opens their LinkedIn page.
Direct traffic became their largest source of website visitors, ahead of Google.
What it is not
Not reposting your blog five times.
The work starts by deciding who the practice is trying to reach, because the people searching for you are at different distances from picking up the phone. Someone who has never heard of you needs a reason to listen. Someone deciding between two practices needs to know how you think. Someone ready to book needs to find the booking page.
Content gets built for each of those three, and all of it is tracked, so at the end of a month you can see which stage is actually producing enquiries rather than guessing. That is the part most practices have never had.

Before anything is published
The rules are enforced by the pipeline, not by memory.
- No diagnosis or treatment advice.
- No patient stories, and no detail that could identify anyone.
- No outcome or success-rate claims.
- No medication brand names.
- Any mention of crisis carries the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or the piece is killed.
- Heavier clinical material stays off the main feed.
This is the part practices worry about, reasonably. These rules came from a practice operating under HIPAA, and the review happens before a post reaches you to approve, not after it is live.
The first month
In order, so you know what you are agreeing to.
A read of what you already have
Your site, anything you have written, your specialties, and who in the practice sees which patients. Most practices have more usable material than they think.
Who we are talking to, written down
A parent looking for help for a teenager and an adult who has already tried two medications need different things said to them. Two or three real audiences, what each is worried about, and you correct it before anything is written.
Accounts set up, or cleaned up
Whatever already exists gets kept and tidied. Nothing is rebuilt for the sake of it.
The first posts, written and reviewed
Every post goes through the checks above before it reaches you. You approve or reject each one from your phone. No meetings.
Numbers at the end of the month
What went out, what reached people, and what they did next. In plain language, not a dashboard you have to learn.
