Financial advisors and firms · Built by Noah Watson

Marketing for financial advisors, written in your voice and checked before compliance sees it.

Most advisors know they should be posting. What stops them is rarely the writing. It’s the review queue, the worry that one loose sentence becomes a compliance problem, and the sense that the safe posts all sound the same.

I’m Noah Watson, based in Carmel, NY. I build content systems for regulated businesses, and every draft starts from something you actually said and is checked against the rules your firm works under before it reaches your compliance team.

The rules

What your posts are measured against

Registered investment advisers work under the SEC Marketing Rule (Rule 206(4)-1), which covers testimonials, endorsements and how performance can be shown. Broker-dealers and their registered reps work under FINRA Rule 2210, which requires communications to be fair and balanced and generally needs a principal to approve retail communications before they go out.

I write and check with both in mind. I’m not a compliance officer or a registered representative, and none of this is legal advice. Your compliance team keeps the final say. The point of the checks is that what reaches them is already clean, so there is less for them to send back.

Posts go out from accounts your firm controls, so they land in whatever archiving system your firm already uses for its records. Every draft and approval is also kept in your dashboard.

How it works

From a short conversation to a week of posts your firm can approve.

  1. 01

    You talk, I listen

Once or twice a month we record a short conversation. I ask how you work with clients, what people get wrong about money before they first sit down with you, and what you find yourself explaining over and over. There's no script.

  2. 02

    Your words become posts

I transcribe the recording and turn it into posts for LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, in your phrasing. If a post would need a number or a claim you never gave me, I flag it for you instead of filling the gap myself.

  3. 03

Every draft is checked before you see it

Each one runs against the lines a financial firm cannot cross in public. A draft that crosses one comes back to you with the reason, and doesn't go any further.

  4. 04

    Your compliance team approves

You see the week's posts in one place. Nothing is scheduled until whoever signs off at your firm has approved it.

  5. 05

You can see what it's doing

Reach, followers and the number of people who reached your website from each platform sit in one dashboard. It counts visits. It never names or follows a visitor.

The lines every draft is checked against

  • No promised or projected returns.
  • No performance figures unless your firm supplies them with the required disclosures.
  • No testimonials or endorsements your compliance team hasn't cleared.
  • No buy or sell recommendations on a specific security.
  • No client names, stories or details.
  • No claim without a source you've approved.

Why me

I’ve sat on the bank side of the counter

I spent a year as a teller at M&T Bank, where I led the Money Mentor financial-literacy program. Before that I had been writing daily on LinkedIn about markets, earnings and macro for over a year.

I also built Watson’s Equity, a research terminal that combines discounted cash flow, peer multiples and bull, base and bear scenarios into one fair-value estimate for any U.S. stock. So when you explain how you think about valuation or risk, I can follow the reasoning and keep it accurate in the post.

Finance content earns trust when it explains how something works instead of guessing where a price is going. That is the kind I write, and it is also the kind a compliance team can approve.

The same checking process already runs for a psychiatry practice and an insurance firm, two businesses where one wrong post is a real problem. Finance has a different rulebook, but the checking works the same way.

The posts never use client information. They’re about how you think and how you work, never about who you work with.

Who this is for

Independent advisors, RIAs, and wealth and planning firms.

In New York, or anywhere in the US, who want the right clients and referrers to find them, and who would rather spend their hours with clients than on captions. If the admin side is eating your week too, see AI automation.

Start with a free audit. I’ll look at your current social media and website and send back three specific things to change, whether or not we end up working together.

Free 3-point audit

Where are you leaving growth on the table?

Send me your site and socials. Within 24 hours I'll send back a personal 3-point teardown: the three highest-impact fixes, ranked, with exactly what to change and why. No pitch. No charge.

I’m taking on a small group of founding clients this quarter, which is why the audit’s free. Real eyes, real fixes, no catch.

A site URL or primary social link makes the audit sharper. No site yet? Skip this and tell me what your business does in the next field, and I’ll send back a starting playbook instead.

By submitting, you agree to my privacy policy. I’ll only use this to follow up on your audit.
