How often should a mental health practice post on social media?

Often enough that you never stop, which for most practices means a few posts a week, every week. A schedule you can keep beats an ambitious one you abandon in a month.

Why practices stop

Almost every practice that gives up on social media stops for one of two reasons: nobody has time to write, or nobody is sure what they are allowed to say. How often they post is rarely the real problem.

What makes it sustainable

Record the clinician talking for half an hour once a month and turn that into the month's posts, so they always sound like them. Check every draft against the practice's written rules before anyone approves it, so nobody worries about what goes out. Then a few posts a week is easy to keep up.
